Fever and Flu

  • Ginger-Tulsi Tea
    • Recipe: Boil 4-5 fresh tulsi leaves and 1-inch ginger slice in a cup of water. Boil till the water is reduced to half. Strain and add honey to the taste or any other thing
    • Use: Sip as hot as you can manage, twice daily to reduce fever and soothe the throat.
    • Caution: Avoid if you have a sensitive stomach or ulcers.
  • Salt pepper Kadha for Fever
    • Recipe: Mix 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper poweder and 1/4 teaspoon salt in one and a half glass of water, boil it till it becomes half of original volume. 
    • Use: Drink it like hot tea and cover the body with sheet or as per the season. sweating will occur. wipe the sweat with towel, while protecting from air. fever should be down within an hour. more useful in night time, bt can be taken any time of the day. 
    • Caution: Avoid taking more than thrice a day. two times should be okay. if fever is not coming down within two hours and still in high range, consult doctor or take medicine. Also avoid exposure to air, after drinking it and especially while sweating.

  • Warm Turmeric Milk
    • Recipe: Mix 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder in warm milk. Add honey for taste.
    • Use: Drink before bed to fight inflammation and flu symptoms.
    • Caution: May cause upset stomach in some individuals; avoid excessive use.
  • Steam Inhalation
    • Recipe: Add a few drops of eucalyptus or peppermint oil to hot water.
    • Use: Inhale twice daily to clear nasal congestion.
    • Caution: Use caution to avoid burns from hot steam.
  • Garlic and Honey
    • Recipe: Crush 2-3 garlic cloves and mix with 1 tablespoon of honey.
    • Use: Consume twice daily to combat flu symptoms.
    • Caution: May cause heartburn or discomfort if taken on an empty stomach.
  • Cinnamon-Honey Elixir
    • Recipe: Mix 1 teaspoon of cinnamon powder with honey in warm water.
    • Use: Drink twice daily to reduce fever and soothe a sore throat.
    • Caution: Avoid if allergic to cinnamon; not for pregnant women in large amounts.
  • Basil and Black Pepper
    • Recipe: Boil basil leaves with black pepper and a pinch of salt.
    • Use: Take twice daily to alleviate flu symptoms.
    • Caution: May irritate the stomach; avoid if prone to acidity.
  • Rest and Hydration
    • Use: Ensure plenty of rest and fluids.
    • Caution: No specific cautions.
